The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) supports a recommendation by the CDC not to use the live attenuated intranasal influenza vaccine (Flu Mist) this season, due to its poor performance against flu viruses in recent seasons.
The AAP suggests we use ONLY THE INJECTABLE versions of the 2018-2019 flu vaccine.
Therefore, we will not be stocking any Flu Mist intranasal flu vaccine for the 2018-2019 season and would recommend you not receive it elsewhere.
For your convenience, we have set up flu clinics for injectable vaccine in both of our offices, so please call us to set up your appointment as soon as possible.
